Posted by ALPAR Christmas Tree Recycling December 28, 2023 – January 15, 2024, at select CARRS/Safeway stores, including these East Anchorage stores: Aurora Village, Eastgate/DeBarr, and Muldoon.
ALPAR invites you to recycle your live Christmas tree at Anchorage, Eagle River, or Palmer CARRS/Safeway stores – just look for the designated drop off area.
Trees must be free of all decorations, lights and plastic bags – and no wreaths, please!
Trees are turned into wood chips for trails, gardens and parks.
Need help? For a small optional fee call (907) 868-8899 to have your tree picked up by a youth group.
The program ends January 15th, 2024.
Recycle holiday string lights and bulbs for free in Anchorage (Dec 28 – Jan 15):
· Anchorage Recycling Center: 6161 Rosewood Street (bins are open 24-hours)
· Total Reclaim: 12050 Industry Way, #10 (drop off in lobby 9am-4pm weekdays only)
