Catherine Carte served the Scenic Foothills community as Council president, board member  and parks committee member for nine years, generously giving of her time, talents, energy and enthusiasm to help guide our community and improve the quality of life of our residents.

Cathy Carte held a special love and concern for the children of our community and served on several park upgrade committees, including for Scenic Park. She championed replacement of our playground, which had twice been the victim of arson, with hardy equipment to combat closure of such parks due to vandalism.

The new playground, which she largely designed, was installed in 2013 and was named the Catherine Carte Playground in her honor in 2016.
