ALPAR and Municipality of Anchorage Solid Waste Services invite you to recycle your real Christmas tree at Anchorage, Eagle River, or Palmer CARRS/Safeway stores – just look for the designated drop off area.
Trees must be free of all decorations and lights, and no wreaths, please!
Trees are turned into wood chips for trails, gardens and parks.
Need help? For a small optional fee call (907) 868-8899 to have your tree picked up by a youth group.
The program ends January 15th, 2023.
Recycle holiday string lights and bulbs for free in Anchorage (Dec 28 – Jan 15):
· Anchorage Recycling Center: 6161 Rosewood Street (bins are open 24-hours)
· Total Reclaim: 12050 Industry Way, #10 (drop off in lobby 9am-4pm weekdays only)
