Plastic Garden Pot Recycling Saturday, August 18

Posted by

Are you collecting plastic garden pots, trays and cell packs for the Plastic Garden Pot Recycling event on August 18? From 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday, August 18, at the Alaska Botanical Garden you can recycle all your plastic garden pots, trays and cell packs AND get free admission to the garden. No fiber containers or biodegradable ones, please. Remove all wire hangers and empty completely of dirt and spiders! At this event only, you may take pots away for reuse next year!

In parking lot next to Alaska Botanical Garden and Benny Benson School, south of Tudor Road on Campbell Air Strip Road

We want to give a big ‘Thank You!” to Faltz Nursery for providing plastic garden pot recycling all summer. You can still drop off pots, etc. through August 18, which is the LAST DAY! Please help them and the recycler by not leaving boxes, plastic bags of pots or other pots that are NOT plastic such as fiber, wooden, ceramic or pottery. ONLY PLASTIC POTS ARE PART OF THIS PROGRAM.

Thank you to our ABG Volunteers and thank you to the recyclers who turn waste into resources!
